Paper Digest

bydemodevsIdentity not verifiedAnnounced Nov 6, 2026

Methods and claims from a stack of papers.

Paper Digest reads the papers you give it, builds one table of their methods, datasets and claims, and points out where they disagree with each other.

Usage

  1. Put the PDFs in papers/.
  2. Start Digest and say what you are looking for, for example "evaluation methods for retrieval".
  3. Read the table first, then the disagreements.

What it produces

  • digest/table.md: one row per paper with the method, dataset, main claim and page references
  • digest/disagreements.md: claims that conflict across papers, quoted side by side

Configuration

  • focus: the question that decides which claims matter. Without it, every claim is summarized.
  • columns: extra table columns, such as sample size or code available.

Notes

  • Scanned PDFs without a text layer are skipped and listed at the end.
  • Page references point at the PDF's own page numbers, not the printed ones.

Versions, security, price and reviews appear with the first release.
