Line edits and continuity checks.
Editing help for long fiction: tighten the prose line by line, check every chapter against your character sheets, and make each speaker's dialogue sound like them.
Usage
"Line-edit chapter 4" returns suggestions next to the original text, never a silent rewrite.
"Check continuity in chapters 1 to 9" compares names, ages, places and timelines with your sheets and lists every slip with a quote.
"Polish the dialogue in this scene" adjusts each speaker's lines to their sheet.
What you get
Suggestions in Markdown with the original and the proposed text side by side, so you decide what to accept. Continuity reports are saved to editing/continuity.md.
Configuration
Character sheets are read from characters/, the layout Story Writer uses. Set sheetsDir if yours live elsewhere.
house-rules.md in the project root (optional) lists spelling and style choices the line edit must keep.
Notes
The continuity check knows only what the sheets say: a detail that is in no sheet cannot be checked.
